During mid October, my blend (blog friend) Jen at Wine to Weightlifting introduced me to the website Greatist, which is chalk full of trusted fitness information relating to anything you could possibly want to know! Why is that? Each article goes through a rigorous editing process by medical and fitness experts to ensure all the information is reliable and comes from credbile sources!
After Jen referred me to the website and the launch of their new ambassador program, I jumped at the chance! How great would it be to have an opportunity to be a part of a community that, in my book, is a one-stop-fitness-spot?! So as an Ambassador, it is my duty to continue to inspire my readers to be greatists (see definition below) as well as live by and spread the Greatist mission statement:
to inspire and inform the world to make at least one healthier decision per week. Over time, we believe those weeks will add up and our readers (and our world) will be better for it.
What does it take to be a greatist?
greatist. noun. [gray-tist]
a person who makes healthier choices
Yes it truly is that simple! Some of the healthier choices I have made over the last couple months since becoming an ambassador (yes I’m late to post, I just wanted to have more pictures of swag and things!) include taking coffee walks with friends (coffee walks means drinking non-fat lattes on an hour long walk), joining 2 Challenge loop challenges for the month of January (30 Day Abs and Yoga Everyday), listening to Greatist podcasts (see below), walking my dog every day (even when its FREEZING cold outside), and keeping up with my weekly yoga practice!
Why you should check out Greatist RIGHT NOW: I LOVE perusing their site for recipes and fitness tips, but I really LOVE their new podcasts (free) on iTunes!! As a subscriber, the new podcasts posted each week are downloaded automatically to my iphone Podcast app, so I can listen to them in the car while I drive to yoga! Plus, the podcasts have little links pop up on your iphone or ipod (to check out if you aren’t driving) that relate to any articles/studies/products mentioned in the podcast if you want to know more. They are not affiliate links, meaning they don’t get paid if you click them or buy the product, they are there for your convenience :). Be sure to check out Greatist and make one healthier choice every day!!!

How will you be a greatist today?
